Intentionally Great Academy is a Christian-based, private elementary school program serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We provide a student-centered learning environment that offers a personalized, flexible, and community-driven approach to education. Unlike traditional schools, we focus on individualized instruction, multi-age and grade groupings, and hands-on learning experiences that develop critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.
MISSION & VISION
Our mission is to provide academic programming that sparks curiosity, fosters growth, and empowers students to become eager, Christ-centered, life-long learners. We envision a community where every child is empowered to reach their full potential, teachers are valued and appreciated, families receive unwavering support, and the entire village collaborates in harmony to achieve a common goal.

Level-based direct instruction is an instructional system in which students are grouped by demonstrated skill proficiency in a given subject—not by age or grade. Each learner is placed in a level aligned with their current mastery. Teachers provide explicit, scaffolded instruction using a clear “I Do, We Do, You Do” model, ensuring targeted teaching, responsive feedback, and opportunities for skill mastery before progression.

Students explore electives such as Spanish, coding, robotics, creative writing, entrepreneurship, performing arts, and other specialized subjects through our enrichment workshops and electives. These programs provide opportunities to develop new skills, discover interests, and gain hands-on experience.
morning meeting & prayer
Each day begins at 8:30am with with Morning Prayer & Community Meeting, fostering faith, connection, and focus. Through prayer, reflection, and discussion, students center themselves spiritually, set learning goals, and engage with peers. This time builds confidence, strengthens relationships, and creates a supportive start to the day
learning stations
IGA students engage in hands-on learning stations designed to build their skill. Early in the year, teachers guide each station, but as students gain confidence, they work independently. Students also receive individualized support through 1-on-1 time with their teacher, allowing for personalized guidance and skill development.
outdoor play
We extend learning beyond the classroom with educational field trips to museums, science centers, historical landmarks, and outdoor learning environments. These experiences enrich academic instruction by making learning interactive and immersive.
practical life skills
We equip students with practical life skills that foster independence, confidence, and responsibility. Students learn self-care, organization, problem-solving, and everyday tasks, which encourage critical thinking, fine motor development, and social interaction, helping students gain practical knowledge that extends beyond the classroom.
