For families who want something different.

Intentionally Great Academy (IGA) is a Christian-based, private elementary school program. We provide like-minded families and students with small-group education in a dynamic learning environment.

IGA provides a student-centered learning environment that offers a personalized, flexible, and community-driven approach to education. Unlike traditional schools, we focus on individualized instruction, multi-age and grade groupings, and hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking and real-world problem-solving.

Every child is valued and provided with equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in a supportive and affirming environment.

The Georgia State Legislature created a specific provision to ensure that parents in this state who choose to voluntarily associate to advance the primary education of their children shall not be  subject to additional restrictions or regulations. morning meeting & prayer

Each day begins at 8:30am with with Morning Prayer & Community Meeting, fostering faith, connection, and focus. Through prayer, reflection, and discussion, students center themselves spiritually, set learning goals, and engage with peers. This time builds confidence, strengthens relationships, and creates a supportive start to the day

IGA students engage in hands-on learning stations designed to build their skill.  Early in the year, teachers guide each station, but as students gain confidence, they work independently. Students also  receive individualized support through 1-on-1 time with their teacher, allowing for personalized guidance and skill development.

We extend learning beyond the classroom with educational field trips to museums, science centers, historical landmarks, and outdoor learning environments. These experiences enrich academic instruction by making learning interactive and immersive.

We equip students with practical life skills that foster independence, confidence, and responsibility. Students learn self-care,  organization, problem-solving, and everyday tasks, which encourage critical thinking, fine motor development, and social interaction, helping students gain practical knowledge that extends beyond the classroom.

Our teachers make learning interactive, engaging, and personalized by reinforcing key concepts and introducing new ideas. Group sessions focus on numeracy, phonics, and social-emotional development, using storytelling, discussion, and hands-on activities to enhance comprehension and fluency. With the Smartboard adding an interactive element, students stay actively involved, making learning both effective and exciting.

We cultivate creativity, curiosity, and discovery through hands-on art and science experiences. Each day, students engage in interactive projects and experiments that encourage them to explore, create, and think critically. Through scientific exploration, they develop problem-solving skills, a love for learning, and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

IGLP students explore electives such as Spanish, coding, robotics, creative writing, entrepreneurship, performing arts, and other specialized subjects through our enrichment workshops and electives. These programs provide opportunities to develop new skills, discover interests, and gain hands-on experience.
